Our client is a well-known consumer goods company known for their high-quality products. They are looking to add an Indirect Sourcing Manager to their Procurement team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$130k – $140k, Depending on experience

Position Overview:

The Indirect Sourcing Manager will oversee indirect purchasing with a focus on marketing spend. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, leads a small team, and works closely with Finance and Marketing to improve processes and reduce costs, while maintaining product quality.

Responsibilities of the Indirect Sourcing Manager:

  • Lead purchasing for marketing services such as advertising, media, and production,
  • Build strong partnerships with internal teams to understand business needs.
  • Oversee supplier selection, handle negotiations, and contract management.
  • Identify ways to save money, add value, and improve procurement processes.
  • The Indirect Sourcing Manager will prepare and issue RFPs when needed.
  • Track KPIs to measure results.
  • Manage purchase requisitions and year-end purchase order closures.
  • Provide training on procurement and purchasing procedures.
  • Work with Finance teams to ensure invoices are processed on time.
  • Maintain vendor management tools and ensure compliance with audit standards.
  • Manage a team of employees.

Required Experience/Skills for the Indirect Sourcing Manager:

  • 7+ years of experience in indirect procurement.
  • Strong experience with marketing sourcing.
  • The Indirect Sourcing Manager should have strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Indirect Sourcing Manager:

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with vendor scorecards, KPIs, and procurement metrics.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred but not required.
