Our client is a well-established food manufacturing company that fosters a supportive manufacturing environment through their focus on safety, teamwork, and high-quality maintenance practices. They are looking to add an Electrical Maintenance Technician to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30/hr – $35/hr
$1/hour shift differential
Position Overview:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician supports plant reliability by performing mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and reducing machine downtime. The Electrical Maintenance Technician works with a small team and an experienced mechanic in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Technician:
- Perform safe and efficient maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Reduce downtime through troubleshooting and repairs.
- Complete scheduled and on-demand maintenance.
- Maintain and order spare parts.
- Assist with equipment installations and adjustments.
- Train operators on basic equipment care.
- Follow all safety procedures and adapt to daily task variations.
Required Experience/Skills for the Electrical Maintenance Technician:
- Strong electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience repairing and testing electrical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair experience.
- Ability to identify and carry out permanent repairs rather than temporary repairs on equipment.
- Mathematical knowledge in relation to maintenance activities.
- OSHA knowledge and safe work habits.
- Basic PC skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift 35 – 50 lbs.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Electrical Maintenance Technician:
- GMP manufacturing experience.
- PLC knowledge (training provided).
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and manage multiple priorities.
Education Requirements:
- No degree is required. Skills and experience matter most for the Electrical Maintenance Technician.
