Client Overview:
Our client is in the Cosmetics/Personal Care industry and is seeking a Regulatory Specialist.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr – $28/hr
Position Overview:
The Regulatory Specialist must be detail-oriented and organized to support raw material (RM) data management and formulation activities. This role involves frequent communication with vendors and external partners, data entry, and maintaining accurate records in Coptis and Excel. The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable following up for missing information, and familiar with cosmetic raw materials.
Responsibilities of the Regulatory Specialist:
- Gather raw material (RM) data from multiple sources.
- Enter and maintain formulation and RM data in internal systems (Coptis and Excel).
- Communicate with vendors and external parties to collect missing or delayed information.
- Proactively follow up to ensure timely data submission.
- Update trackers and perform routine data entry tasks.
- Use Excel tools (VLOOKUP, PivotTables preferred).
- Maintain accuracy and consistency across all documentation.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Required Experience/Skills for the Regulatory Specialist:
- Experience with cosmetic raw materials strongly preferred.
- Background in regulatory, raw material management, R&D lab, or QA.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Regulatory Specialist:
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables); Coptis experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills for vendor and internal team interaction.
- Ability to stay on top of timelines and drive accountability.
Education Requirements:
- BS or MS in Chemistry, Biology, Cosmetic Science, or related field; an AS degree with related experience may be considered with significant years of R&D lab experience. PhDs will not be considered.
