Our client is a leading construction company specializing in commercial and residential projects across the region. With a commitment to quality, safety, and innovation, they have successfully completed numerous landmark projects. They are now looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$85k – $95k

Position Overview:

The Accounts Receivable Manager will have a strong background in construction accounting, specifically in progress billing and AIA documentation. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Manager:

  • Manage the accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit progress billings and AIA documentation in accordance with project contracts.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Work closely with project managers and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve accounts receivable efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular accounts receivable status and performance reports for senior management.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Manager:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of progress billing and AIA documentation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Manager:

  • Experience with construction accounting software such as Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate or Procore.
  • Familiarity with lien waivers.
  • Knowledge of state and federal construction regulations and compliance requirements.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
