Salary/Hourly Rate:

$70k – $85k, Commensurate with experience

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will serve as a core member of the accounting department, taking ownership of financial reporting activities, supporting month-end processes, managing journal entries, and assisting with forecasting and budgeting. This role provides exposure to multiple consolidated entities and the opportunity to work directly with seasoned executives, including a Controller and a CFO. This position is ideal for a Senior Accountant ready to step out of public accounting and into a hands-on private-sector role where they can lead from the front, roll up their sleeves, and have real operational impact. The right candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and eager to contribute within a collaborative, high-performing finance team.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Oversee billing, invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition, ensuring alignment with contracts, internal policies, and GAAP.
  • Drive month-end close procedures, including bank reconciliations, GL maintenance, journal entries, and expense/credit card reviews.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support external audits, compliance initiatives, and internal control requirements.
  • Evaluate financial results and provide insights to support cost-saving initiatives and improved revenue performance.
  • Assist with special projects, process enhancements, and system improvements in partnership with the Controller.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong detail orientation with excellent organizational skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Background in cash flow projection or financial dashboard creation.
  • CPA or CPA-eligible.
  • Prior exposure to private equity environments.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
