Our client is a great real estate development company that serves the Southeastern US. They are currently expanding their team and seeking to add a Director of Data and Analytics.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$150k – $190k DOE

Position Overview:

The Director of Data and Analytics will lead the organization’s data strategy, analytics initiatives, and reporting capabilities to drive informed decision-making across all business units. This role combines technical expertise with strategic vision, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate analytics, advanced data tools, and leadership experience.

Responsibilities of the Director of Data and Analytics:

  • Data Infrastructure: Implement and maintain a robust data architecture supporting real-time analytics and optimized for AI models.
  • Reporting Accuracy: Deliver dashboards and reports with >99% data integrity.
  • Predictive Models: Develop at least three predictive models annually to improve leasing, pricing, expense forecasting, and underwriting.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Enable business units to make data-driven decisions; achieve >90% satisfaction in internal surveys.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure all data practices meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Innovation: Introduce at least one advanced analytics capability (AI/ML) per year.

Required Experience/Skills for the Director of Data and Analytics:

  • Experience: 8+ years in data analytics or business intelligence roles. Proven experience in real estate analytics and financial modeling. Strong background in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VBA) and ad hoc reporting. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and familiarity with AI/ML tools. Experience with Power BI, Azure, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Director of Data and Analytics:

  • Experience with ETL tools, API integrations, and server optimization.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and enterprise-scale data environments.
  • Leadership experience in building analytics teams.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.
