Our client is a growing, privately held organization operating with a lean team and a hands-on culture. They are looking to add a Bookkeeper to their team. Salary/Hourly Rate:
$70k – $90k
Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be the primary owner of day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative operations for the business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with leadership, and managing financial processes from start to finish. As the Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate records while supporting broader office and administrative needs. Position is well-suited for someone who thrives in a small-company environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.
Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:
- Serve as the lead Bookkeeper, owning full-cycle bookkeeping including AP, AR, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online as the company’s dedicated Bookkeeper.
- Coordinate payroll through a third-party payroll provider.
- Manage invoicing, vendor payments, expense tracking, and general cash operations.
- Assist with basic financial reporting and collaborate with external accounting partners.
- Support administrative and office operations, including recordkeeping and vendor coordination.
- Provide light HR and onboarding support as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Bookkeeper:
- 2 – 3+ years of hands-on experience in a Bookkeeper or similar accounting role.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
- Comfortable operating in a small, lean environment with broad responsibility.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Bookkeeper:
- Experience supporting payroll processes and HRIS systems.
- Prior exposure to office administration or operations support.
- Background working in a growing or entrepreneurial company.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
