Tax Staff Accountant

Our client is a well-established and local CPA Firm that is looking for a Tax Staff Accountant to join their team! 

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$85k – $95k 

Position Overview:

The Tax Staff Accountant will join an existing team to assist with tax season in early 2026. A focus in this role will be preparing personal and business tax returns for small business clients. 

Responsibilities of the Tax Staff Accountant:

• The Tax Staff Accountant will prepare tax returns for various clients.
• Generate yearly tax projections.
• Analyze the balance sheet as well as the P&L.
• Monthly reconciliations.
• Journal entries to the general ledger. 

Required Experience/Skills for the Tax Staff Accountant:

• 3+ years of prior public accounting/Staff Accountant experience.
• 3+ years of prior tax preparation experience.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Tax Staff Accountant:

• CPA or Enrolled Agent Certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and Ultra-Tax is preferred.

Education Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
