Our client, a professional community management organization, is seeking an Accounting Manager to work out of their office in Boynton Beach, FL. Experience with Homeowner Associations (HOA) would be highly preferred.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$75k – $80k

Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager would be responsible for managing the accounting department. The Accounting Manager also serves as a point of contact for Managers within the organization, analyzes budget information, and works with Managers to create strategies that align with the company vision. Experience with Homeowner Associations (HOA) would be highly preferred.

Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager: 

  • Responsible for performing bank and account reconciliations and analyses.
  • The Accounting Manager is responsible for the preparation of the month-end close and financial statement preparation.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger as needed.
  •  The Accounting Manager will audit the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments.
  • Ability to explain financial statements to accounting and non-accounting personnel. 
  • Manage the Accounting department, including training, development, hiring, and performance management.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of People Management experience. 
  • Minimum of 3+ years of Full Cycle Accounting experience. 

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of managing an accounting team of 3 or more team members 
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Property Management, Food and Beverage, or the Hospitality industry.
  • Experience with Homeowner Associations (HOA) would be highly preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration is preferred.
