Client Overview:
Our client is a professional consulting firm that partners with organizations to solve complex business challenges, improve operational performance, and drive sustainable growth. They are now looking for a Senior Accountant.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$40/hr – $45/hr
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will support the accuracy and timeliness of financial operations and is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a small-company environment and values direct impact.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Manage and reconcile cash receipts across 8–10 payment platforms.
- Accurately record vendor and consultant invoices in a timely manner.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices across multiple departments using Salesforce data.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries; perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Produce weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and year-end financial reports.
- Perform balance sheet account analyses and reconciliations.
- Maintain and update internal trend reporting and databases.
- Support ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience.
- CPA preferred but not required.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:
- Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition.
- Advanced Excel and QuickBooks proficiency.
- Experience with accruals, deferrals, and prepaid expenses.
- Experience working with multiple payment platforms.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Collaborative mindset with willingness to mentor and improve processes.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
