They are known for fostering a collaborative environment focused on innovation and operational excellence. Currently, they are looking to add a QC Chemist (Pharmaceutical) to their team.

Position Overview:

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented QC Chemist (Pharmaceutical) to join their on-site team. This individual will support quality control testing, analyze data, and help ensure regulatory compliance within a fast-paced CDMO setting. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and be available to start as soon as possible. Relocation assistance is not available, so local candidates are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities of the QC Chemist (Pharmaceutical):

  • Conduct QC testing on raw materials and finished products (including tablets, capsules, and other dosage forms) using techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FT-IR, dissolution, and particle size analysis.
  • Analyze, interpret, and document analytical data while maintaining accurate laboratory records.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, including FDA and EMA standards.
  • Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on analytical instruments and lab equipment.
  • Partner with cross-functional groups such as R&D and manufacturing to support product development and release activities.
  • Offer technical guidance and assist with training for junior team members when needed.

Required Experience/Skills for the QC Chemist (Pharmaceutical):

  • 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical analytical laboratory.
  • Strong working knowledge of HPLC/UPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FT-IR, and dissolution testing.
  • Solid documentation practices aligned with cGMP requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation.
  • Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the QC Chemist (Pharmaceutical):

  • Prior experience within a CDMO environment.
  • Exposure to ingestible powder and oral solid dosage testing.
  • Understanding of global regulatory standards and quality systems.

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in progress will not be considered.
