Ready to turn numbers into strategy and insight? Our client, a fast-growing tech company, is on the hunt for a hands-on FP&A Manager to join their finance team. If you love diving into P&Ls, building models, and uncovering trends that drive decisions, this role will make your analytical heart sing.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$55/hr – $65/hr
Position Overview:
As FP&A Manager, you will be the go-to financial sleuth, analyzing actuals, budgets, and forecasts while providing insights that steer company strategy. This is an individual contributor role, so you will own the numbers and make a tangible impact, all from the comfort of your home office.
Responsibilities of the FP&A Manager:
- Lead weekly and monthly financial reporting with clarity and accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze P&Ls across actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct trend, variance, and margin analysis, uncovering the story behind the numbers.
- Investigate discrepancies using sharp analytical instincts.
- Maintain and update financial models, including absorption costing models.
- Partner with Accounting and cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity.
- Support ad hoc financial projects as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the FP&A Manager:
- 5+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience.
- Proven hands-on experience as a senior individual contributor.
- Strong understanding of absorption modeling and fixed vs. variable cost behavior.
- Advanced Excel skills (complex models, pivot tables, lookups).
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the FP&A Manager:
- Tech industry experience.
- Month-end close support experience.
- ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
