Our client is an established and growing affordable housing organization that focuses on residential properties across the USA. They are currently expanding and looking to add a Property Manager (Affordable Housing) to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Property Manager to join a stable company. 

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65k – $70k

Position Overview:

The Property Manager (Affordable Housing) will oversee a residential community. The ideal candidate will have experience with Section 8, HUD (Housing and Urban Development), PRAC, and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit). They will also have certifications such as COS, TCS, or HCCP.  

Responsibilities of the Property Manager (Affordable Housing):

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations on site.
  • Manage tenant relations.
  • Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and Tax Credits, and Project-based subsidies.
  • Responsible for recertifications.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs.
  • Handle lease renewals and manage tenant move-ins and move-outs.
  • Maintain budget and expense reporting.

Required Experience/Skills for the Property Manager (Affordable Housing):

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of HUD and LIHTC programs and compliance.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Property Manager (Affordable Housing):

  • 5+ years of property management experience.
  • Experience managing affordable housing properties.
  • Certification in property management (e.g., CPM).
  • Tax Credit certifications (COS, TCS).

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.
