Salary/Hourly Rate:
$100k – $120k Depending on experience
Position Overview:
The Finance/Business Analytics Analyst will support strategic planning and business performance initiatives through data-driven analysis and financial modeling. The role combines analytical support for operational and marketing-related initiatives with core financial planning functions such as budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing cross-functional data, identifying trends, and delivering actionable insights to leadership, while also assisting with project coordination efforts within an analytics-focused team.
Responsibilities of the Finance/Business Analytics Analyst:
- Lead ongoing FP&A activities for marketing, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles to project marketing spend and revenue impact and track performance versus budget.
- Analyze multi-channel marketing campaign performance (Google Ads, Meta/Facebook, email, etc.) using KPIs such as ROI, CAC, LTV, and contribution margin, including customer segmentation and predictive analytics to optimize targeting and forecast outcomes.
- Build and maintain executive dashboards and reports by consolidating data from multiple sources to deliver actionable insights and identify optimization opportunities for marketing and leadership teams.
- Manage project budgets, documentation, and vendor relationships while leading weekly status meetings and collaborating with marketing, product, and data teams to ensure successful project execution and stakeholder alignment.
Required Experience/Skills for the Finance/Business Analytics Analyst:
- 3+ years of experience in marketing data analysis, FP&A, business analytics, or related roles.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reporting.
- Strong proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and marketing CRM platforms.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills for data manipulation, modeling, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate data into actionable business and financial insights.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Finance/Business Analytics Analyst:
- Familiarity with SQL and querying databases.
- Experience managing analytics-driven or cross-functional projects.
- Understanding of customer acquisition and lifecycle marketing metrics.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, or a related field is required.
