Client Overview:

Our client, a large residential real estate organization, is seeking a Resident Property Associate to support property operations at a major residential community in Corona, Queens. This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate interested in starting a career in property management or real estate operations. The position offers hands-on exposure to multiple areas of property management, including operations, leasing, compliance, and resident services.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$24/hr (Temporary)
$50k – $55k upon permanent conversion

Position Overview:

The Resident Property Associate will provide administrative and operational support to the Property Management team while assisting with resident relations and property operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional residential property environment. The position is fully onsite in Corona, Queens.

Responsibilities of the Resident Property Associate:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to resident inquiries and service requests.
  • Coordinate resident service issues with property staff and outside vendors to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing monthly financial and operational reports for management.
  • Monitor property expenses and support budget tracking.
  • Coordinate the purchase of services, supplies, and equipment for property operations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Fair Housing guidelines.
  • Support the implementation of preventative maintenance schedules for the property.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and special projects related to property operations.
  • Collaborate with teams across operations, leasing, legal, compliance, and construction.

Required Experience/Skills for the Resident Property Associate:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced property management environment.
  • Interest in developing a career in real estate or property management.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Resident Property Associate:

  • Internship or experience in real estate, property management, or administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with Yardi or property management systems is a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
