Client Overview:

Our client is an established global organization seeking to enhance its employee benefits administration. With a strong international presence and a commitment to supporting its workforce through comprehensive and competitive benefits programs, they continue to prioritize compliance, education, and operational excellence. They are now looking to add a Benefits Administrator to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$90k – $100k

Position Overview:

The Benefits Administrator is responsible for the administration, renewal, education, and enrollment of members into company benefits, including health, welfare, and retirement programs. This position handles inquiries, troubleshoots problems, and ensures compliance while working closely with internal team members and external vendors.

Responsibilities of the Benefits Administrator:

  • Manage day-to-day benefit administration including resolving member issues such as new hire enrollment, termination, COBRA administration, general benefits education, and qualifying life events.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all plan offerings, including retirement benefits.
  • Coordinate and present Benefits information during New Hire Orientation.
  • Ensure accuracy of all benefits enrollments in HRIS and vendor portals.
  • Initiate and facilitate annual Open Enrollment for all North America locations, including carrier feeds, HRIS configuration, communication materials, and member support.
  • Process and administer all Leave of Absence requests and disability paperwork, interpreting FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to LOA/disability.
  • Administer the company Worker’s Compensation program in collaboration with Payroll and Environmental Health & Safety teams.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure enrollment accuracy and correct dependent information.
  • Support audits, compliance testing, and complete government-required benefits reporting (e.g., EEO-1, ACA).
  • Collaborate with Payroll to ensure appropriate benefits deductions.
  • Partner with benefit brokers to create and manage the annual benefits calendar.
  • Participate in recommending plan design, policies, efficiencies, and cost-saving measures.
  • Manage the company wellness program.
  • Perform additional tasks within the scope of the position as assigned.

Required Experience/Skill for the Benefits Administrator:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Benefits Administration.
  • Exposure to benefit plans and practices, including medical, dental, vision, leave of absence, and retirement.
  • Understanding of benefits as they relate to Human Resources policies and practices.
  • Ability to reconcile, audit, and problem solve.
  • Experience with HRIS and benefit configuration.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Solid professional judgment with confidential information.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Benefits Administrator:

  • Experience or exposure to payroll practices, benefit setup, and deductions is a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field.
