Currently, they are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30/hr – $45/hr
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing the month-end close process, preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, performing cash reporting, and supporting overall financial accuracy. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Lead and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare, review, and resolve complex balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyze variances and provide explanations for key financial statement components.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Support audit requests and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with business partners to support operational and financial decision-making.
Required Experience/Skill for the Senior Accountant:
- 4+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on month-end close.
- Advanced understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Strong cash reporting and cash management experience.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:
- Experience in a corporate accounting department or mid-to-large-scale organization.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., BlackLine, Power BI).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
