Our client is a long-standing, reputable service organization supporting clients in a variety of industries. The company provides on-site testing, inspection, and equipment support services and is known for high-quality work, strong customer relationships, and hands-on technical expertise. Currently, they are looking to add an Entry-Level Field Service Technician to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$20/hr + mileage reimbursement + overtime 

Position Overview:

This is an entry-level, hands-on Entry-Level Field Service Technician role is ideal for someone mechanically inclined who wants to learn a technical trade. The Entry-Level Field Service Technician will assist with basic service, testing, and support of industrial equipment at customer locations. Full training is provided. Daily travel is required, including occasional out-of-state trips. Mileage is reimbursed once independent field work begins.

Responsibilities of the Entry-Level Field Service Technician:

• Follow detailed instructions to perform testing and calibration tasks on industrial equipment, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all work.
• Record measurements and job-related information clearly and efficiently using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Reference technical diagrams, written procedures, and equipment guidelines during daily tasks.
• Assist in basic maintenance and care of tools and instruments to keep equipment in good working order.

Required Experience/Skills for the Entry-Level Field Service Technician:

• Mechanically inclined; comfortable with tools and troubleshooting.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
• Willingness to travel daily and occasionally out of state (paid travel time beyond normal commute).
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Entry-Level Field Service Technician:

• Prior hands-on or mechanical work experience (automotive, warehouse, shop, trades, etc.).
• Basic understanding of simple measurements or hand tools.
• Interest in building a long-term technical career.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
