Our client is a high-volume manufacturing operation committed to delivering high-quality products with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. They are expanding their team and seeking to hire a Manufacturing Supervisor. The team operates in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$36/hr – $40/hr
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations for a designated shift, providing direction and support to staff. The ideal candidate must be flexible to work 12-hour shifts, 2 weekends a month.
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Supervisor:
- Assign daily work schedules to personnel and develop/maintain manufacturing schedules for the assigned shift.
- Train, coach, and support staff to ensure effective job performance.
- Direct workflow to meet production goals and maintain required output levels.
- Perform all standard supervisory and leadership duties typically associated with line supervision.
- Collaborate with other Shift Supervisors to coordinate technical, logistical, and operational needs.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure on-time, quality-focused production.
- Ensure production goals are achieved.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture where employees identify hazards and propose improvements.
Required Experience/Skills of the Manufacturing Supervisor:
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience in a 24/7 environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Outlook and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Demonstrated experience in production planning.
Preferred Experience/Skills of the Manufacturing Supervisor:
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience in a 24/7 environment.
- Experience in continuous improvement.
- Must be willing to work on a contract basis.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A college degree is preferred.
