Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60k – $70k
Position Overview:
The Senior QA Inspector is responsible for conducting in-process and finished product quality inspections across manufacturing lines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and product specifications. This role also provides day-to-day coordination, guidance, and coaching to a team of QA Inspectors while supporting broader quality operations and documentation activities. The Senior QA Inspector will work Monday to Friday, 1st shift, with regular Saturday overtime (paid).
Responsibilities of the Senior QA Inspector:
- Senior QA Inspector will perform in-process and finished product inspections; verify line clearance and production area readiness before use.
- Sample, test, and disposition materials and finished goods; ensure accurate labeling and documentation throughout.
- Initiate and manage quality system entries, non-conformance documentation, and hold/reject procedures.
- Coordinate and collect product, reserve, and customer samples per applicable specifications.
- Assign and balance workload across QA Inspectors; step in to cover inspections and documentation during high-volume periods.
- Review QA documentation for completeness and accuracy before submission to the release team.
- Coach and instruct QA Inspectors on quality procedures, documentation practices, and system entries.
- Lead onboarding and training for new team members.
- Participate in daily production coordination meetings, floor walks, and issue review meetings.
- Maintain inspection tracking tools, logbooks, and other quality administrative records.
- Support validation, trial, and continuous improvement activities on the manufacturing floor.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior QA Inspector:
- 5+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work regular, scheduled Saturday overtime (paid).
- Experience leading, mentoring, or managing others in a professional setting.
- Ability to represent the Quality function professionally during audits and regulatory interactions.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior QA Inspector:
- 5+ years of experience in a GMP environment would be ideal for the Senior QA Inspector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED is required.
- Associate’s degree is preferred.
