Our client is a mid-size finance firm located in Paramus, NJ that is expanding and looking for an Investment Analyst to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$190k – $205k
Position Overview:
The Investment Analyst will join a current team of three staff members with a focus on bankruptcy trade claims and distressed financing.
Responsibilities of the Investment Analyst:
- Identify and evaluate bankruptcy claims opportunities.
- Source Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases.
- Assist in the restructuring process by working closely with attorneys, bankers, and claims agents.
- Manage structured lending opportunities, including risk assessment and analysis.
- Build and track financial model performance.
Required Experience/Skills for the Investment Analyst:
- 5+ years of experience in investment banking or advisory.
- Knowledge of distressed financing, restructuring, and bankruptcy.
- High proficiency in Excel, underwriting, and specialty finance.
- Strong communication skills with a client-facing and vendor-focused approach.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
