Salary/Hourly Rate:
$18/hr – $20/hr
Position Overview:
The IT Support Specialist will provide technical assistance to end users, resolve computer and device issues, and support device management systems. This role ensures the smooth operation of hardware and software, including Microsoft Office and mobile devices.
Responsibilities of the IT Support Specialist:
- Provide technical support to computer users via phone, email, and in person.
- Set up equipment for employee use, including proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software.
- Assist with Microsoft Office troubleshooting and support.
- Support device management systems such as Intune and Ninja.
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with iPhones and other devices.
- Monitor daily performance of computer systems to ensure proper operation.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve IT issues.
- Read technical manuals and conduct diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems.
Required Experience/Skills for the IT Support Specialist:
- Prior IT support experience (1–2 years recommended).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with device setup, especially iPhones.
- Familiarity with device management systems (Intune, Ninja).
- Active listening and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and dependability.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the IT Support Specialist:
- Experience with database management and query software.
- Knowledge of operating systems.
- Critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s degree preferred.
