Client Overview:

Our client is a fast-growing, children’s boutique with a highly curated product assortment. They are looking to add a Store Manager to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate: 

$80k – $95k + Bonus

Position Overview: 

Our client is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead a high-performing children’s boutique in NYC. The ideal Store Manager will own total store performance, including achieving and exceeding sales goals and KPIs.

Responsibilities of the Store Manager:

  • Lead all aspects of team management.
  • Coach and develop team members through regular feedback, one-on-ones, and ongoing training.
  • Drive a high level of customer experience through clienteling, outreach, and relationship-building.
  • Maintain accountability for daily business operations.
  • Partner directly with ownership to communicate business needs, performance updates, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently executed to reflect the brand’s aesthetic.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
  • Lead by example on the sales floor and maintain a strong, hands-on presence.

Required Experience/Skills for the Store Manager:

  • 3 – 5+ years of retail management experience (boutique or specialty retail experience is preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Strong business acumen with experience driving sales and managing KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently partner with ownership.
  • Highly self-sufficient and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of the business.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, small store environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Store Manager:

  • Experience in children’s, lifestyle, or contemporary/luxury retail.
  • Background in multi-brand or highly curated retail environments.
  • Experience leading a team through growth or scaling operations.

Education Requirements: 

  • High school diploma is required.
