Client Overview:

Our client is a rapidly growing global manufacturing organization seeking a Director of Corporate Accounting to support ongoing transformation initiatives. The company is focused on leveraging advanced technology to enhance operational performance and is preparing for a significant corporate milestone.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$180k – $185k plus bonus

Position Overview:

Reporting to senior finance leadership, this role will lead global accounting operations while driving large-scale system transformation initiatives. The Director of Corporate Accounting will oversee general ledger integrity, support financial reporting, and play a key role in ERP implementation and process standardization. This position will also contribute to audit readiness and internal control development in a complex, multi-system environment.

Responsibilities of the Director of Corporate Accounting:

  • Lead global accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across multiple systems.
  • Serve as a key leader in a greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation, including design and standardization of finance processes.
  • Manage and optimize SAP finance modules such as GL, AP, AR, asset accounting, and cost/profitability analysis.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external consultants to support system integration and implementation.
  • Drive IPO readiness initiatives, including development and enforcement of SOX-compliant processes and controls.
  • Prepare audit documentation and serve as a key contact for external auditors.
  • Identify and implement automation and FinTech solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and KPIs to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting and finance professionals.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Required Experience/Skills for the Director of Corporate Accounting:

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in complex environments.
  • 7+ years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience, including implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
  • Experience managing multi-entity and/or multi-ERP environments.
  • Proven experience leading system implementations and process transformation initiatives.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Director of Corporate Accounting:

  • Experience with automation and financial tools such as BlackLine, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to AI or machine learning applications in finance or accounting processes.
  • Experience in a high-growth or transformation-driven environment.
  • Prior involvement in IPO readiness or public company transition.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Active CPA license required.
