Our client is a leading consumer goods company focused on producing and distributing a diverse range of food, home, and personal care products globally. They are now looking for a Demand Analytics Planner.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$35/hr – $40/hr
Position Overview:
The Demand Analytics Planner is a great opportunity for a data-forward planning professional who is comfortable working with large datasets, building dashboards, evaluating forecasting outputs, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve forecast performance. This role will help strengthen forecast accuracy, improve planning models, and translate complex data into actionable insights for supply chain, planning, and commercial teams. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of how analytics can support supply chain planning, forecasting, inventory, and business performance.
Responsibilities of the Demand Analytics Planner:
- Support the development and refinement of baseline forecasts used within the monthly S&OP planning cycle.
- Analyze forecast performance across item, category, and site levels to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate forecasting models through input testing, model diagnostics, root cause analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Partner with planning, analytics, and business teams to improve machine learning forecast interpretability and overall model quality.
- Build and maintain reporting tools and dashboards, including Power BI visualizations using data from multiple sources.
- Monitor forecast quality and proactively flag areas of degradation, risk, or recurring error.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing forecast error and improving planning accuracy.
- Leverage AI tools, automation, and analytics techniques to streamline reporting and strengthen decision-making.
- Translate data findings into clear business recommendations for supply chain and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve planning routines across daily, weekly, and monthly demand analytics processes.
Required Experience/Skills for the Demand Analytics Planner:
- 2–4+ years of experience in demand planning analytics, supply chain analytics, data analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
- Hands-on experience building dashboards, reports, or data visualization tools, preferably in Power BI.
- Strong analytical background with experience working with large datasets from multiple sources.
- Comfortable performing root cause analysis, identifying patterns, and turning data into actionable insights.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with SQL, Python, Power Query, DAX, or similar tools is a plus.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical business stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in CPG, food & beverage, manufacturing, or supply chain environments is a plus.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Demand Analytics Planner:
- Exposure to forecasting, machine learning models, AI-driven analytics, or predictive planning tools is strongly preferred.
- Experience in CPG, food & beverage, manufacturing, or supply chain environments is a plus.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
