Our client is an established Pennsylvania organization with decades of experience providing high-quality, mission-driven services. They are now looking for a Medical Receptionist.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22/hr

Position Overview:

The Medical Receptionist is responsible for managing and coordinating all general administrative operations of the office. This role serves as a key support function for daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow, professional front-office management, and exceptional service for patients and visitors.

Responsibilities of the Medical Receptionist:

  • The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact by managing incoming calls, visitors, and intake inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinate patient intake, admission, and scheduling processes, including assessments, reminders, and follow-ups.
  • The Medical Receptionist verifies insurance coverage, explains financial responsibilities, collects copayments, and manages payment plans.
  • Maintain office supply inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures and perform other related administrative duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Skills for the Medical Receptionist:

  • The Medical Receptionist must have at least one year of healthcare clerical experience.
  • Familiarity with health insurance and benefit verification processes.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with attention to detail.
  • The Medical Receptionist must have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Medical Receptionist:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare office or patient-facing administrative environment preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
