They are seeking a Grant Biller to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$35/hr
Position Overview:
The Grant Biller will manage grant-related billing, accounting, and reporting for funded projects. This role ensures accurate financial documentation and compliance with grant requirements.
Responsibilities of the Grant Biller:
- Compile, compute, and record billing, accounting, and statistical data for grant purposes.
- Prepare billing invoices for grant-funded services and project deliverables.
- Verify the accuracy of billing data and correct errors as needed.
- Maintain financial and account records for grant projects.
- Reconcile records of grant-related transactions.
- Prepare documentation for contracts, transactions, and regulatory compliance.
- Operate office equipment and relevant billing software.
- Communicate with supervisors, peers, and external stakeholders regarding grant billing matters.
- Organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet grant deadlines.
- Document and record information in written or electronic form.
- Analyze data to ensure compliance with grant standards.
Required Experience/Skills for the Grant Biller:
- Proficiency in accounting and billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Oracle, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to compile, code, and audit financial information.
- Experience with grant billing or nonprofit accounting.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Grant Biller:
- Prior experience in nonprofit grant billing.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local grant compliance requirements.
- Experience working with the Department of Homeless Services (DHS).
- Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
- Experience with document management systems.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
