Our client is a well-established automotive organization known for delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence. They are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join their growing team and support payroll operations in a fast-paced environment.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$23hr – $26/hr
Position Overview:
The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time for employees while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume automotive environment.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator:
- Process weekly and/or biweekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Maintain employee payroll records and update information as needed.
- Review timesheets, attendance records, deductions, and wage calculations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Address payroll-related questions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits when necessary.
- Coordinate with HR and accounting departments regarding payroll updates.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
Required Experience/Skills for the Payroll Administrator:
- Payroll administration or payroll processing experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Payroll Administrator:
- Familiarity with payroll software such as ADP.
- Understanding of multi-state payroll processing is a plus.
- Experience supporting HR or accounting functions.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
