Our client is an established and rapidly growing NJ-based organization that is looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$28/hr – $30/hr
Position Overview:
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be reporting and working with multiple departments. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for full-cycle accounts receivable, accounts payable, and any duties the Executive Director requests be handled. The schedule is Monday to Thursday 6:30 AM – 5 PM, with Fridays off.
Responsibilities of the Full Charge Bookkeeper:
- Accounts Payable, including purchase orders and vendor account management.
- Accounts Receivable: monthly invoices and handling vendor records.
- Numerous bank reconciliations for depository accounts.
- Preparing monthly financial statements and reports.
- Assist with the annual budget and auditing process.
- Reconciliations: balance sheets and journal entries.
- Set up new vendor accounts.
- Prepare and review expense reports.
Required Experience/Skills for the Full Charge Bookkeeper:
- Hands-on experience with accounting software.
- 3 – 5 years minimum of full-charge bookkeeper experience.
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros).
- Team player with strong analytical skills.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to complete tasks on time, independent of supervisors.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Full Charge Bookkeeper:
- Advanced Excel and payroll experience.
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s degree and/or relevant experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
