Our client is a leading global lifestyle company seeking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist to their team. This organization is looking for an energetic professional who can be a valued contributor and support its dynamic business operations.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30/hr – $32/hr
Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate invoice processing, vendor communication, and account reconciliation activities. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist will have prior accounts payable experience and a commitment to maintaining accuracy while supporting the organization’s financial operations. While previous experience is preferred, the company is willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Match, batch, code, and enter invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Research and resolve accounts payable issues with customers and vendors.
- Update and reconcile accounts payable sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
- Support day-to-day accounts payable operations and ensure timely processing of transactions.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Previous accounts payable experience preferred.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Experience with invoice matching, batching, coding, and data entry.
- Experience reconciling accounts payable sub-ledgers and general ledger accounts.
- Ability to quickly learn new accounting systems and processes.
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
