Client Overview:

Our client, a real estate design company, is looking to bring on a Part-Time HR Generalist. They need someone who enjoys being in a creative culture and enhances efficiency and decision-making within HR.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$35/hr – $40/hr 

Position Overview:

This company is seeking a Part-Time HR Generalist to support their growing HR function. This role will oversee all aspects of HR, including ER, compliance, performance management, and full-cycle recruiting.

Responsibilities of the Part-Time HR Generalist:

  • Serve as the primary HR partner to leadership and department heads.
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Develop and enforce company policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, New York State, and NYC employment laws.
  • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Manage benefits administration, leave policies (FMLA, NY PFL), and payroll coordination.

Required Experience/Skills for the Part-Time HR Generalist:

  • 5+ years of HR experience, including full-cycle recruiting.
  • Experience using or implementing AI tools in HR or recruiting workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of New York labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day operations.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Part-Time HR Generalist:

  • Experience working in a high-end, luxury, or client-service-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, ATS platforms, and AI-enabled recruiting tools.
  • Strong network within the NYC design or real estate community.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
