$35/hr
Position Overview:
The Retail Designer (Visual Merchandising) will design and implement engaging retail displays to enhance customer experience and drive sales. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop visual merchandising strategies. Maintain brand standards across all retail environments.
Responsibilities of the Retail Designer (Visual Merchandising):
- Plan and erect commercial displays in retail stores and trade exhibitions.
- Arrange merchandise, props, and signage to reflect inventory changes and promotions.
- Consult with store managers and sales associates for optimal display placement.
- Maintain and inspect props, mannequins, and products for quality.
- Develop creative concepts for window and in-store displays.
- Assemble and install displays using colors, lights, and accessories.
- Collaborate with advertising and sales teams for product launches.
- Good understanding of visual merchandising standards.
- Prepare sketches, floor plans, and models for proposed displays.
- Use computers to produce signage and manage inventory records.
Required Experience/Skills for the Retail Designer (Visual Merchandising):
- 2+ years in retail design or visual merchandising.
- Strong creative and artistic abilities.
- Proficiency in display assembly and installation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to handle and move objects, perform general physical activities.
- Experience with computer-based signage production.
- Knowledge of compliance standards for retail environments.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Retail Designer (Visual Merchandising):
- Familiarity with promotional strategy development.
- Exposure to retail store planning and trade exhibition setup.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field is required.
