Our client is a well-established lifestyle and consumer products company known for creating high-quality products across multiple categories. They are seeking a detail-oriented Temp Product Development Coordinator to support their Product Development team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$23/hr – $25/hr
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Temp Product Development Coordinator to provide operational and administrative support throughout the product development process. This position plays a key role in coordinating product information, managing samples, maintaining development materials, and ensuring projects stay on track from concept through execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment while balancing multiple priorities across product categories.
Responsibilities of the Temp Product Development Coordinator:
- Prepare, maintain, and update PLM tech packs with accurate product specifications and development information.
- Communicate regularly with overseas factories, agents, and vendors regarding product updates, revisions, and development timelines.
- Coordinate updates to product documentation and distribute changes to internal and external partners.
- Organize and maintain sample libraries, color standards, Pantone references, and development materials.
- Track incoming and outgoing sample shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Receive, log, and distribute samples to appropriate team members.
- Coordinate sample requests for internal meetings, customer presentations, and seasonal milestones.
- Assist with showroom preparation, maintenance, and Market Week setup and breakdown.
- Maintain organized reference files, CAD printouts, color binders, and development assets.
Required Experience/Skills for the Temp Product Development Coordinator:
- 0 – 2 years of experience in product development, merchandising, sample coordination, or a related operations role.
- Proficiency in PLM, Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Temp Product Development Coordinator:
- Background in home goods, consumer products, textiles, apparel, or related industries.
- Familiarity with sample management, shipping coordination, and vendor communication.
- Experience supporting cross-functional product development teams.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
