Position Overview:

Our client is looking for a customer-focused 1st Line Support Analyst (Part-Time) to provide hands-on technical support for employees across two office locations. The 1st Line Support Analyst (Part-Time) will serve as the primary point of contact for end-user technical issues, supporting desktop hardware, Microsoft technologies, Active Directory, networking, onboarding, and day-to-day IT operations. Reporting directly to a senior IT Infrastructure leader, the ideal 1st Line Support Analyst (Part-Time) enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced support environment, and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities of the 1st Line Support Analyst (Part-Time):

  • Provide first-line desktop and end-user technical support for employees in New York City and Jersey City.
  • Troubleshoot Windows and Microsoft 365 (Office 365) issues.
  • Support Microsoft Teams, conference room technology, cameras, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Install and configure software, desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Perform Active Directory user administration, including password resets and account management.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including workstation setup and account provisioning.
  • Troubleshoot basic server connectivity, router, and firewall-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and hardware issues.
  • Escalate complex infrastructure issues when appropriate.
  • Maintain documentation for support requests and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure team to ensure seamless technology operations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting users across multiple locations.

Required Experience/Skills for the 1st Line Support Analyst (Part-Time):

  • 2+ years of Help Desk, Desktop Support, or End User Support experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (Office 365).
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams.
  • Active Directory administration, including user account management and password resets.
  • Experience troubleshooting Wi-Fi connectivity and networking issues.
  • Basic knowledge of servers, routers, and firewall troubleshooting.
  • Experience performing software installations and hardware deployments.
  • Experience supporting onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while providing excellent end-user support.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the 1st Line Support Analyst (Part-Time):

  • Experience supporting both office and laboratory environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience working within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, nonprofit, or research organizations.
  • Experience supporting multiple office locations.
  • Experience working in a Microsoft-centric enterprise environment.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience will be considered.
