Client Overview:

Our client is a stable, growing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to make an impact within a collaborative environment while continuing to grow their career.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$70k – $85k

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company’s accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, billing, and general ledger maintenance. This position partners closely with leadership and internal departments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information while helping improve accounting processes as the organization continues to grow.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review customer billing and assist with accounts receivable activities.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting.
  • Support commission calculations and other operational accounting functions.
  • Analyze account activity, investigate discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
  • Assist with audit preparation and maintain organized financial documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Support special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting.
  • Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • QuickBooks Online experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

  • Experience in a growing small- to mid-sized business environment.
  • Experience with billing, general ledger, and operational accounting.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
  • Process improvement mindset and desire to grow into increased accounting responsibilities.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
