They are currently expanding and looking to add a Freelance Apparel Merchandiser to their team. Salary/Hourly Rate:
$40/hr – $47/hr
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Freelance Apparel Merchandiser to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fashion trends, product development, inventory planning, and retail merchandising strategies. This role requires someone who can balance creativity with analytical thinking to maximize product performance and drive sales.
Responsibilities of the Freelance Apparel Merchandiser:
- Support merchandising initiatives by maintaining accurate product, pricing, and inventory information.
- Analyze and organize merchandising data using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ensure product information is accurate and up to date across merchandising systems.
- Assist with assortment planning, product setup, and merchandising execution.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Planning, Buying, Sourcing, and Product Development.
- Identify data discrepancies and proactively resolve issues.
- Learn and navigate internal merchandising systems such as APT, PLM, and SDMS.
- Prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience/Skills for the Freelance Apparel Merchandiser:
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and company standards.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude and ability to remain productive during periods of heavy workload.
- Dependable and reliable with a proven ability to deliver quality work on time.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Freelance Apparel Merchandiser:
- Merchandising experience with a big-box retail environment.
- Strong systems experience with merchandising platforms such as APT, PLM, or SDMS is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
