We recognize that every business has their own motives for being sustainable. At Atrium, we know that making short-term gains are not worth the long-term implications unsustainable business practices can have on our employees, our families and our communities. Our initiatives around waste reduction and energy conservation are constantly evolving in an effort to reduce the negative impact of our processes on the environment. As an example, in the last 2 years alone, we‘ve reduced our paper usage by 57% by introducing paperless substitutes for a majority of our business functions. Making conscious business decisions to support sustainability has led to increased productivity, reduced costs and improved energy efficiency. It also helps us sleep at night.
