Overview

Position Summary 

We are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy intern to support our Contracts & Compliance function. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in employment law, regulatory compliance, and legal operations, combined with hands-on experience or aptitude in SaaS platforms, databases, and data organization. 

The intern will play a key role in migrating, auditing, organizing, and improving contract and compliance data, while contributing to process efficiency, risk mitigation, and documentation standardization across the organization. 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 

Database & Systems Management 

  • Assist in system and contract migrations, data mapping, and process documentation 
  • Perform data clean-up, validation, and normalization across SaaS platforms (e.g., CRM, HRIS, contract management tools) 
  • Audit existing databases for accuracy, completeness, and consistency 
  • Identify and flag discrepancies or missing information for remediation 
  • Support reporting and dashboard creation using Excel or other tools 

Compliance & Contract Support 

  • Assist in the review, organization, and tracking of contracts, compliance documentation, and regulatory records 
  • Help maintain contract lifecycle tracking tools and compliance logs 
  • Conduct basic research on employment law, regulatory updates, and compliance requirements 
  • Participate in internal compliance initiatives and process improvement projects 

Content Organization & Process Efficiency 

  • Organize and standardize digital files, contracts, templates, and compliance materials 
  • Support the creation of SOPs, workflows, and documentation for internal use 
  • Help streamline processes related to contract intake, review, and storage 

Screening & Quality Assurance Projects 

  • Review records and documentation to ensure alignment with internal policies and legal requirements 
  • Assist in screening documentation for completeness and compliance readiness 
  • Support internal audits and quality control reviews 
  • Track remediation efforts and follow-up actions 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

Education & Interests 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Legal Studies, HR, Political Science, Information Systems, or related field 
  • Strong interest in employment law, HR compliance, or legal operations 

Technical Skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel – pivot tables, VLOOKUP preferred) 
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, SharePoint, or similar systems) 
  • Strong aptitude for working with databases, structured data, and systems 
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly

Education Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Legal Studies, HR, Political Science, Information Systems, or related field
