Overview
Atrium is expanding globally and building a dedicated Country Manager function to provide in-country expertise and white-glove support for our contingent workforce operations. As our first Country Manager in Canada, you will play a critical role in shaping how Atrium delivers compliant, high-touch workforce solutions in a new market.
Serving as the primary point of contact for workers employed through our Canadian entities, you will oversee the end-to-end worker experience post-onboarding and act as the central coordination point across Payroll, Compliance, Benefits, Risk, and Operations teams. This highly visible role combines operational ownership, employment compliance expertise, and stakeholder management to ensure a seamless experience for workers and clients alike.

Responsibilities
Employment, Compliance & Risk
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Canadian employment law, wage and hour regulations, statutory entitlements, and benefits requirements.
- Issue employment contracts and terms of employment, ensuring compliance with Canadian regulations.
- Manage employee terminations and separations, ensuring compliant and effective offboarding processes.
- Support workers’ compensation and insurance-related activities, including renewals and role assessments.
- Identify and escalate employment, compliance, and operational risks in partnership with the Director of Risk & Compliance.
- Manage relationships with Employer of Record (EOR) vendors regarding employment terms, job changes, and compliance requirements.
Operations & Worker Experience
- Own worker records and assignment management within Avionté, Bullhorn, and related systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Manage the contingent worker lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for worker inquiries, concerns, and escalations.
- Partner closely with Payroll, Compliance, Operations, and client-facing teams to resolve issues and ensure a seamless worker experience.
- Monitor client program service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Support reporting, data management, and operational coordination across multiple internal teams.
Stakeholder Management & Program Support
- Act as the central coordination point across internal teams to ensure alignment and successful execution.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, workers, and internal stakeholders through a responsive, service-oriented approach.
- Provide guidance on Canadian employment practices and market norms to support program strategy and decision-making.
- Contribute to process improvements, knowledge management, and the ongoing evolution of Atrium’s global workforce solutions model.
- Support the development and scalability of the Country Manager function as Atrium expands into additional global markets.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in workforce administration, account management, HR operations, contingent labor management, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience supporting Canada within an Employer of Record (EOR) environment required.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law, payroll practices, statutory entitlements, benefits administration, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage worker-facing issues with professionalism, empathy, and urgency.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience working with HRIS, staffing, or workforce management systems such as Avionté, Bullhorn, SharePoint, and Excel.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in navigating complex employment and operational matters.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and contribute to building new processes and programs.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.

COMPENSATION
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and market considerations.
