Client Overview:

Our client is a laboratory services provider that specializes in instrument maintenance, asset management, and more. They are currently seeking a Project Lab Auditor (Health).

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$23 – $25 per hour

Position Overview:

The Project Lab Auditory (Health) is a temporary position for approximately three (3) weeks starting early August. This role involves auditing/recording data for scientific equipment in a laboratory setting, requiring professionalism and attention to detail. Candidates must be able to work Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, with limited flexibility for time off.

Responsibilities of the Project Lab Auditor (Health):

  • Represent the organization professionally while working at a state health department laboratory.
  • Audit scientific equipment by recording detailed information such as serial numbers, make, and model.
  • Measure size and location of equipment.
  • Capture detailed photographs of equipment.
  • Transcribe handwritten notes into an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Work safely around sensitive equipment in a busy and somewhat cramped laboratory environment.

Required Experience/Skills for the Project Lab Auditor (Health):

  • Maturity, independence in a lab setting, and professionalism.
  • Clear communication skills and good common sense.
  • Comfortable working in a busy and crowded environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to be on feet most of the day and work safely around sensitive equipment. 

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Project Lab Auditor (Health):

  • Research, internship, or co-op experience is highly desirable.
  • Lab experience or familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of various types of laboratory instrumentation

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (chemistry, biology, biochemistry, etc.)
