Our client is a Metro New York utility company looking to add a Full Stack Engineer (Frontend Focused) to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate: 

$80/hr – $95/hr

Position Overview: 

Our client is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer (Frontend Focused) with a strong focus on Frontend Architecture to design, build, and maintain scalable web and mobile applications. This role will establish frontend standards, develop reusable UI frameworks, and ensure seamless integration with our enterprise backend services and identity systems.

Responsibilities of the Full Stack Engineer (Frontend Focused):

  • Frontend Architecture: Lead frontend technical design, establish development standards, build reusable component libraries, and promote UI/UX best practices.
  • Full Stack Development: Develop responsive single-page applications (SPAs) and integrate them seamlessly with backend microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Mobile Initiatives: Support cross-platform or native mobile application development to deliver a cohesive experience across web and mobile surfaces.
  • Performance & Accessibility: Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, cross-browser compatibility, and strict WCAG accessibility compliance.

Required Experience/Skills for the Full Stack Engineer (Frontend Focused):

  • Experience: 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of leading frontend architecture for enterprise web applications.
  • Frontend Mastery: Deep, advanced knowledge of TypeScript, React, and/or Angular, alongside modern HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
  • Full Stack Integration: Strong experience consuming and integrating with backend APIs built on C# .NET (.NET Core/.NET 8+) or Python.
  • Modern Tooling: Experience with Git workflows, package managers (npm/yarn), and frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite).
  • Accessibility: Deep experience implementing and enforcing strict WCAG accessibility compliance in web applications.
  • Enterprise Security: Practical experience managing frontend session states, handling token lifecycles (silent refresh, JWT management), and integrating with enterprise Identity Providers (Active Directory, Okta, etc.).

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Full Stack Engineer (Frontend Focused):

  • Mobile Development: Experience with native mobile development (Swift for iOS / Kotlin for Android) OR cross-platform mobile frameworks (React Native, MAUI, Flutter).
  • Legacy Support: Familiarity supporting legacy web patterns (e.g., .NET Framework 4.8.1 / MVC) during modernization phases.
  • DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and container environments (Docker).
  • Industry: Prior experience in a utility, energy, or highly regulated corporate environment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required.
