Our client is seeking a highly experienced SAP FICO Consultant to support the continued development, implementation, and optimization of SAP financial systems and business processes. The organization values professionals who can effectively bridge Finance, Accounting, and IT while helping improve financial processes through technology and modern SAP solutions.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$65/hr – $70/hr (Contract)
$130k – $155k Annually (Direct hire)
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with a strong Finance or Accounting background, significant cost accounting expertise, and hands-on SAP implementation experience. This role will bridge Finance and IT by translating business requirements into effective SAP solutions while supporting financial process optimization. The ideal SAP FICO Consultant will have a strong understanding of core Finance and Accounting processes and the ability to apply that knowledge within SAP environments. This opportunity is particularly well suited for a finance or accounting professional who transitioned into SAP/IT, or an SAP professional with substantial Finance and cost accounting experience. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities of the SAP FICO Consultant:
- Serve as a functional expert for SAP Finance (FICO) and core financial business processes.
- Support SAP implementations through requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and optimization.
- Partner closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Apply strong cost accounting knowledge to financial processes, reporting, analysis, and operational activities.
Required Experience/Skills for the SAP FICO Consultant:
- Hands-on SAP FICO Consultant experience with proven participation in or support of SAP implementations, transformations, or financial systems modernization initiatives.
- Strong Finance or Accounting foundation with significant cost accounting experience and a solid understanding of core financial processes, reporting, planning, and analysis.
- Experience translating Finance and business requirements into effective SAP solutions while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders.
- Background as a Finance or Accounting professional who transitioned into SAP/IT, or an SAP professional with significant prior Finance/Accounting experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and business process skills, with the ability to support requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, optimization, and process improvement.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the SAP FICO Consultant:
- Experience supporting SAP implementations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial reporting within SAP environments.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field is preferred.
