A well-established law firm is seeking a Legal Billing Coordinator to join its dedicated billing department. The team is responsible for managing client invoicing, account reconciliation, payment processing, and resolving billing inquiries while working closely with attorneys, clients, and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely billing.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$85k – $105k
Position Overview:
The Legal Billing Coordinator will support the firm’s billing operations and ensure accurate and timely invoicing for clients. This position will work closely with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to review and process invoices, research and resolve billing discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and respond to billing-related inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced professional environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Responsibilities of the Legal Billing Coordinator:
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with attorneys, assistants, and clients.
- Review and verify the accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required.
- Create new billing formats as needed.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly billing reports for management review.
Required Experience/Skills for the Legal Billing Coordinator:
- 3 or more years of hands-on billing experience in a law firm.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to organize workflow and use time efficiently.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Legal Billing Coordinator:
- Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment and successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal direction while exercising initiative.
