- Review cost quotes, analyze historical pricing, identify cost-saving opportunities, and escalate costing challenges as needed.
- Partner with Buyers, Planners, Merchandising, and Product Development teams on garment costing, production planning, buys, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate production tracking systems, booking calendars, and purchase order information within PLM.

- Coordinate product labeling approvals, including main label wording and country-of-origin information.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to review progress, align on priorities, and keep seasonal milestones on schedule.
- Support seasonal costing initiatives, margin goals, factory capacity planning, and production allocation strategies.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external manufacturing partners while helping improve tracking and reporting processes.
Required Experience/Skills for the Freelance Senior Production Coordinator:
- 4 – 6 years of apparel production experience, ideally within a retail or fashion brand environment.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience communicating with overseas factories, vendors, and manufacturing partners.

- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach to identifying production challenges and communicating solutions.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Freelance Senior Production Coordinator:
- Experience with men’s apparel, particularly fleece, knits, sweatshirts, hoodies, sweatpants, or casualwear.
- Familiarity with PLM systems, particularly Bamboo Rose.
- Experience with seasonal costing, IMU goals, factory capacity planning, and production allocation.
- Background working with cross-functional teams in a large apparel or retail organization.

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
Benefits:
- Opportunity to work with a well-established, nationally recognized apparel retailer.
- Hybrid flexibility with at least three days per week in the NYC office.
- Collaborative, cross-functional environment with exposure to large-scale apparel production.
