Client Overview:

Our client is a manufacturing organization seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with additional HR support responsibilities. The company values accuracy, organization, confidentiality, and clear communication across departments to support both financial operations and employee administrative processes.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$15/hr – $20/hr

Position Overview:

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for processing daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, invoice matching, and payroll data entry, while assisting Human Resources with file management, onboarding tasks, employee record updates, and administrative duties. This role requires proficiency in MS Office, strong attention to detail, and a high degree of confidentiality.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk:

  • Enter customer purchase orders and update ERP records.
  • Create job folders and support contract review processes.
  • Support customer requests, quality alerts, and act as backup Receptionist.
  • Match and enter vendor invoices into ERP.
  • Resolve discrepancies and code invoices accurately.
  • Maintain AP files and process and mail checks and debit memos.
  • Communicate with vendors, set up new vendor accounts, and request W-9s.
  • Assist with AP aging reconciliation and month-end close.
  • Maintain HR files and documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, posting jobs, and scheduling interviews.
  • Update employee information in the HRIS system.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Clerk:

  • 2 – 5 years of relevant Accounting/HR experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounting Clerk:

  • Experience using Intuitive ERP or similar systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
