Client Overview:

Our client is an industry leader in school transportation and fleet services, founded on the bedrock of family, community, and a safety-first mindset, with more than 22,000 vehicles throughout the U.S. They are all about making a positive impact on the students who ride their buses while ensuring the happiness of our team members! They are currently looking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$25/hr – $27/hr

Position Overview:

Account Payable Specialist applicants must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Our client is looking for previous experience, but is willing to train the right candidate. 

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Resolve invoice exceptions within the Payables Portal.
  • Perform a two-way match for parts invoices.
  • Respond to AP inquiries.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Expense report auditing.
  • Verify and log vendor banking changes.
  • Research stale payments (checks and virtual credit cards).
  • Invoice allocation uploads.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are essential.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player while also taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Advanced Excel experience (VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, etc.).

Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
