Love fashion and numbers? Our client, a growing luxury fashion and retail brand, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their Finance team. If you enjoy keeping things organized, solving payment puzzles, and working in a fast-paced retail environment, this role could be the perfect fit. You will play a key role in maintaining a steady cash flow while collaborating with teams across Sales, Operations, and Finance.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr – $30/hr
Position Overview:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring that customer accounts are up to date. From processing invoices to resolving payment discrepancies, your work will directly support the financial health of a well-known luxury retail brand. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys striking a balance between precision and collaboration in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Process and post customer payments, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
- Generate and distribute invoices for wholesale and retail accounts.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues.
- Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Partner with the sales and operations teams to ensure accurate billing.
- Assist with month-end close activities related to AR.
- Support ad hoc finance and reporting projects as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- 2 – 4 years of accounts receivable, billing, or AR specialist experience.
- Experience working in retail, fashion, or consumer goods environments.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data organization.
- Experience with ERP systems or accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Experience with wholesale accounts receivable or retail billing.
- Familiarity with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
- Experience working with luxury brands or high-volume retail accounts.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
