Our client is a privately held global real estate and lifestyle company headquartered in New York City, known for large-scale, mixed-use developments and urban innovation. They have grown into one of the largest and most prominent real estate developers in the United States, with a portfolio valued at over $70 billion. The company operates as a fully integrated platform, handling development, acquisitions, property management, finance, and leasing across residential, commercial, and retail sectors. They are currently looking to add an Administrative Support (Mandarin Fluency) to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate: 

$20/hr – $22/hr

Position Overview: 

The Administrative Support (Mandarin Fluency) will support affordable housing compliance during the lease-up process by reviewing applicant documentation and verifying income, assets, and household eligibility. This role involves managing and organizing large volumes of sensitive data, maintaining accurate and audit-ready compliance files, and updating information in property management systems. This role also requires frequent communication with applicants to schedule appointments, answer questions, and follow up on required documents. Collaboration with the Leasing, Property Management, and Compliance teams is essential to resolving discrepancies and keeping applications moving forward on schedule. This role is based in Queens, NY.

Responsibilities of the Administrative Support (Mandarin Fluency):

  • Support affordable housing compliance efforts.
  • Manage and organize high volumes of sensitive applicant and tenant information in line with program and company standards.
  • Maintain well-documented, audit-ready files.
  • Input and update applicant and tenant data within property management.

Required Experience/Skills for the Administrative Support (Mandarin Fluency):

  • Fluency in Mandarin is required – both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to thoroughly review and monitor documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of handling multiple files and deadlines at once.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems. 
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Administrative Support (Mandarin Fluency):

  • Prior experience in real estate.
  • Familiarity with Yardi is nice to have.
  • The ability to work overtime when needed.

Education Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
