Our client, a well-established consumer packaged goods (CPG) company, is seeking an Associate Product Commercialization Manager (CPG) to support their renovation and product optimization initiatives.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$43/hr – $45/hr
Position Overview:
This role focuses on improving and evolving existing products, packaging, and processes while working cross-functionally with teams across the organization. The Associate Product Commercialization Manager (CPG) will support multiple initiatives that drive product improvements, operational efficiency, and continued growth. This role reports to senior project leadership and partners closely with teams across Innovation, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career project manager looking to gain hands-on experience supporting product renovation and commercialization initiatives within a large CPG organization.
Responsibilities of the Associate Product Commercialization Manager (CPG):
- Support the planning and execution of product renovation and optimization projects across cross-functional teams.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate communication across stakeholders, including Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Commercial teams.
- Track project progress, identify potential risks, and support mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure alignment on responsibilities, priorities, and next steps.
- Monitor KPIs and provide regular project updates to project sponsors and leadership.
- Support structured stage-gate commercialization processes for product updates and packaging changes.
- Contribute to evaluating the business impact of projects by considering consumer insights, financial implications, and operational considerations.
Required Experience/Skills for the Associate Product Commercialization Manager (CPG):
- 2 – 3 years of experience in project management, product management, or cross-functional project coordination.
- Experience within a CPG, food & beverage, consumer products, or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Exposure to supply chain, operations, or commercialization processes is highly valued.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar), Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Associate Product Commercialization Manager (CPG):
- Experience supporting product renovation, packaging changes, or product lifecycle management initiatives.
- Familiarity with stage-gate product development processes.
- Exposure to Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or demand planning environments.
- Experience working with large retailers or large-scale CPG supply chains.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, supply chain Management, engineering, or a related field is required.
