Client Overview:

Our client, a leading real estate development organization, is seeking Bilingual Lease Up Compliance Coordinators to support a large-scale affordable housing lease-up project. This is a fast-paced, team-driven environment with a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and compliance.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22/hr

Position Overview:

The Bilingual Lease Up Compliance Coordinators will support lease-up operations by reviewing applications, verifying documentation, and ensuring compliance with affordable housing guidelines. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with high volumes of data, and the ability to communicate effectively with applicants in both Mandarin and English. This position will initially be based in Midtown Manhattan and will later transition to a Long Island City/Queens location, so candidates must be comfortable commuting to both.

Responsibilities of the Bilingual Lease Up Compliance Coordinators:

  • Review and process affordable housing applications and supporting documentation.
  • Verify income, assets, and household eligibility for compliance accuracy.
  • Maintain and organize applicant and tenant files to ensure audit readiness.
  • Enter and update data in property management and compliance systems.
  • Communicate with applicants to schedule appointments and follow up on documentation.
  • Coordinate with leasing, compliance, and property management teams.
  • Track application progress and ensure timely processing during lease-up.
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding application status and requirements.
  • Assist with audit preparation and compliance reviews.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive applicant information.

Required Experience/Skills for the Bilingual Lease Up Compliance Coordinators:

  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English required (spoken and written).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review complex documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Comfortable commuting to Midtown Manhattan and Long Island City/Queens.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Bilingual Lease Up Compliance Coordinators:

  • Experience in affordable housing, leasing, compliance, or property management.
  • Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management/compliance systems.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
